These lessons are written by us, but they lean on published reference works. The books behind each course are listed below.

Kazakh

• Kazakh Grammar with Affix List — A. Krippes. Main reference for the affix system and case endings; a number of examples are adapted from it.
• Kazakh Language Course for Peace Corps Volunteers in Kazakhstan — B. Alpysbaeva, B. Ismagulova & U. Turguzhanova. Consulted for everyday phrasing and for how a beginner course sequences its material.
• Kazakh — D. Kara. Consulted as a general reference grammar, particularly for the sound system.
• Kazakh Language — A. Akhmetova. Consulted for everyday vocabulary; a number of examples are adapted from it.
• Karşılaştırmalı Türk Lehçeleri Sözlüğü — Türk Dil Kurumu. Used to check the Turkish comparison on each example against an independent Turkish–Kazakh source, since the grammars themselves give no Turkish equivalents.
• Kazakh alphabets (Wikipedia) — Wikipedia contributors. Consulted for the official 2021 Latin alphabet and the history of the script reforms, which postdate the printed books.
