letratu has no accounts and no sign-in. The site never asks you for your name, your e-mail address or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere to type one.
A couple of display preferences — the interface font, and whether Kazakh is shown in Latin or Cyrillic — are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are cleared when you clear the site's data.
The site uses Google Analytics, through Firebase, to count page views and a few interactions such as which song was opened or which text layer was switched on. Google sets cookies or similar identifiers for this and receives the request data any web server receives, including your IP address and your browser's user agent.
Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party ad vendors use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads, to measure whether they were seen, and — where they are allowed to — to personalise them based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites.
Personalised advertising can be switched off, and the interests Google has inferred can be reviewed or deleted, in Google Ads Settings. Where consent is required before advertising cookies may be used, that consent is asked for by Google's own consent message. Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser works too — you will still see ads, they will just be less relevant. Song pages embed YouTube's player. Loading or playing a video is a request to YouTube, which may set its own cookies and applies Google's privacy policy rather than this one.
